The San Diego Chicken Comes to Fort Worth The Fort Worth Cats will host the Famous Chicken, also known commonly as The San Diego Chicken, on June 13 at LaGrave Field. If you’ve never seen The Chicken in person, do yourself a favor and check out his act at historic LaGrave Field on June 13. It is must see entertainment for any sports fan. The Chicken has reached icon status as a sports and entertainment personality throughout the nation and around the world. In his element as an outrageous comic actor, he is as unique and gifted a humorist as any stage has ever seen. His live shows at baseball games are a treat for all ages. The Chicken was recognized as the first professional sports mascot and pioneered the idea of using popular recorded music at baseball games. He has performed at more than 8,500 games and amazingly, has never missed one. Moreover, he has more than 17,000 total appearances including parades, banquets, conventions, TV and radio dates. After every baseball game, The Chicken will sit and sign every autograph request at no charge. No one is every turned away; time spent in this activity averages 90 minutes. The past two seasons, The Chicken has appeared at LaGrave Field where he received enthusiastic greetings from sellout crowds.
